Len Porter and Marilyn Shaw, began their musical career in 1988 as “Mar-Lens C.C. Band” singing roots of Country Music! It was a musical fairy tale, Marilyn and Len, fell in love and married in 1991.
They continued their music with a wide variety of Country Classic including original material written by Marilyn Shaw Porter while they continued to entertain in Thunder Bay and Northern Ontario. In 1995, the Porters moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia where they performed at legions, bars, weddings, lodges, churches, house parties and dance halls.
While in Nova Scotia, they recorded 3 cds of Gospel Music (All-Aboard Music) and returned to Thunder Bay in 2010 where they have expanded their repertoire to variety of songs, jazz, 50s/60s, bluegrass, gospel country, folk, contemporary, rock and roll and then returned to the stage in 2012 when they re-named the duo The Model A’s.
At present, they are working on a 4th cd, named “Then and Now”. They love to perform for their fans, groupies, new and old friends and we wish all – love and hugs and God’s Blessings!!
